Getting ready for pregnancy is one of the most common conversations I have with my patients. It is an important decision to have a baby and you want to ensure you are creating the best possible environment for your baby.
I often tell patients who are thinking of getting pregnant to give themselves at least 6-12 months to prepare their body for pregnancy.

I love chocolate and I love fruit, especially dark chocolate and tropical fruit. OH! Strawberries dipped in chocolate and chocolate covered cherries. Mmmm…

One morning in early March, I woke up with a rash on the front of my neck. I used different creams, powders, needled myself and yes…I prayed. After a couple of days, the rash cleared up but after I showered or ate foods with sugar like chocolate or flavored chips, it would come back.

Patients are often surprise to hear that I see my massage therapist and chiropractor every two weeks. Since my job is very physical, I believe in a proactive approach to health, well-being and I want to prevent injury.

I recently reconnected with a couple of girlfriends that I have not seen for about 5 years. In that time, they each gave birth to a healthy baby. The topic about their birthing journey and post-partum depression came up.
Me: Did you seek help?
Friend 1: No, I figured it will eventually go away.
